Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - Hartford police say they broke up a group of suspected street racers over the weekend.
Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, officers with the Hartford Police South Street Crimes Unit and South Community Service Officers were dispatched to the area of 50 Reserve Road.
Once they arrived, police say they were able to contain the scene and wound up issuing two dozen infraction tickets and seizing one firearm.
This, detectives say, comes on the heels of a similiar gathering in the same area earlier this month.
On May 14, 29 tickets were issued and one arrest was made.
Hartford police officials say they will continue stepped up enforcement in an effort to stop illegal gatherings and street racing.
