Waterbury, Conn./WTIC Radio - Two female pedestrians are in the hospital after Waterbury police said they were struck Thursday night by a hit and run driver.
Officers say just after 8:00 p.m., they were dispatched to the scene near 38 Walnut Street.
Both victims are from Waterbury and were rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
A 22-year-old woman is in critical condition with life threatening injuries.
Another 21-year-old woman is in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation suggests that, in addition to hitting the women, the driver also struck two nearby vehicles.
That person then came to a stop before fleeing the scene.
