(WTIC news)--The Office of the Inspector General is looking into the death of a Wolcott man, who died while in police custody.
The Inspector General says police responded to Tyrell Drive early Tuesday morning upon reports of a man suffering a mental health crisis.
Robert Brown, 52, was found lying on the floor with what appeared to be two self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
The I.G. report says Brown pushed police away when they tried to move him, while holding a razor and saw blade.
Police then tasered Brown, before taking him to Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, where he was pronounced dead.
No further information is available.
