Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC Radio - Employers added 4,900 jobs to their rolls for the month of March, according to the latest report from the state Department of Labor.
For the second consecutive month, unemployment stayed steady at 4.5%.
“The first quarter of 2024 has produced strong, broad-based job growth and three consecutive months of labor force expansion", said Commissioner Dante Bartolomeo.
Job numbers for February were revised to show an increase of 2,600.
DOL says over 13,000 jobs were gained for the first quarter of 2024.
