HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ Jury duty and trials are set to resume in Connecticut.
Chief Court Administrator Patrick L. Carroll III cites the elimination of most COVID restrictions, broad availability for vaccines, and reduced COVID positivity rates for the reason to return to jury trials.
The Judicial Branch will resume summoning jurors to courthouses throughout the state to restart the jury trial process as of June 1, 2021.
The state's court system says it is reopening in consultation with Connecticut public health officials and in compliance with directives from the Governor.
There will also be ventilation protocols and other safety procedures within the buildings.
