BRISTOL, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Bristol community is coming together on the eve of the tragic 2022 line of duty ambush on Lieutenant Dustin Demonte and Sergeant Alex Hamzy.
The Hamzy family is selling lantern bags in memory of the officers. Those who buy the bags are asked to light the flameless candle inside of them while placing them outside or in windowsills on Thursday night, which is the exact one-year anniversary of the tragedy.
The bags are available Wednesday and Thursday at the Hamzy Law Firm at 140 Farmington Avenue in Bristol.
The City is holding a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, to remember Lieutenant Demonte and Sergeant Hamzy.
