Regrets, Umberto Pignataro has a few. He has pleaded guilty to stealing hundreds of pieces
of mail while working for the U-S-P-S in late 2020 and the first half of 2021. The 46-year-old Bridgeport man
was caught on videotape rifling through and pocketing mail, say prosecutors. It's true, he said in court. He swiped
hundreds of packages and greeting cards and letters -- some containing cash or gift cards. No word on why he did it.
But the prosecutors say Pignataro had also admitted to carrying a gun and using cocaine at work.
