NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - New Britain Police arrest a suspect in connection with a double shooting that killed a woman and injured another earlier this week.
The suspect in the case, Christopher Raye, 55, was seen walking on the Berlin Turnpike on Tuesday night.
New Britain Police worked with the Berlin and Meriden Police Departments and were able to take Raye into custody without incident.
Raye is accused of fatally shooting a woman and critically injuring another at a residence on Prospect Street around 3 a.m. Monday.
He allegedly fled the scene before police could arrive.
Raye is charged with murder, first-degree assault with a firearm, two counts of risk of injury, illegal discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of a firearm.
Bond is $1,000,000.
