New Haven, Connecticut/WTIC Radio - Police in New Haven have arrested a man wanted in the assault of a jogger just over a year ago.

And they say Crisleonel Cruzado, 25, may be linked to an incident that took place years before.

Police say the victim in the assault last October 12th was jogging in the area of Yale and Edgewood Avenues when she was struck in the face by a man brandishing a firearm who attempted to force her into a wooded area before she escaped.

The suspect fled into Edgewood Park.

Cruzado was arrested on Friday on a host of charges including assault, reckless endangerment and breach of peace.

He has also been implicated in a 2018 case in which a female was assaulted at Chapel Street and Yale Avenue by a man with a knife.

Cruzado is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
