
Southbury, Conn./WTIC - A man is facing a host of charges after police say he kidnapped a female victim Friday in Southbury.
It was just after noon that officers were notified of a domestic violence incident at Elaine Drive and Curt Smith Road.
Witnesses told police Brian Lambert dragged the victim through a wooded area and forced her into a vehicle, taking off at a high rate of speed.
Police were able to track Lambert's cell phone to Oxford.
A Southbury detective spotted the suspect vehicle, after which officers from several departments stopped Lambert at the entrance to Southford Falls State Park.
He faces kidnapping, unlawful restraint, assault and other charges.
Bond was set at $5 million.
