Newington, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in Newington have charged a man who hit a police officer in an incident last winter.
Under arrest is 22-year-old Luis Antonio Lopez.
It was March 19th that Lopez, whom police had been attempting to collar for several days prior, entered a Chick-fil-A drive-thru on the Berlin Turnpike.
As police attempted to stop the vehicle, they say Lopez aimed his car intentionally at an officer, striking them, before fleeing.
The officer sustained minor injuries.
Lopez, from Wethersfield, turned himself in on Wednesday.
He faces a litany of motor vehicle and reckless driving charges.
Bond was set at $100,000.
