STAMFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Connecticut Inspector General is investigating police use of force during a standoff that lasted hours in Stamford on Tuesday.
Police say a suspect, who was barricaded inside a home on Oaklawn Avenue, shot at responding officers Tuesday.
At that time, police returned fire.
The man was later found dead inside the home from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
No other details are available at this time.
