Rodas Garcia and the woman he was with, exploring the sandbars. Reports say she lost her footing. Slipped into the water. When Rodas Garcia
saw she was battling against a strong current, he jumped into action. But he also got into trouble once in the water. He then went under
water, and did not surface. When police arrived Rodas Garcia was unconscious as a crowd pulled him
from the water.They tried CPR, but was later pronounced dead at a hospital. They were also helping the woman.
She is now OK.
