Meriden, Conn (WTIC Radio)-A man faces charges for enticing a teenager.
Meriden police began an undercover operation, where an officer acted as a 15-year old female. The male contacting the officer has been identified as Christopher Smith, 44.
Police said the conversations became sexually explicit, and Smith expressed sexual acts he wanted to perform on the female.
Smith made plans to meet the female at a specific location in Meriden. On Wednesday Smith followed through with his plans. That's when he was charged with criminal sexual assault in the second degree, risk of injury to a minor and criminal attempt at enticing a minor by computer.
He's being held on a 500-thousand dollar bond.
