MANCHESTER, CONN(WTIC RADIO)- A Middletown man faces charges for a road rage incident at the Spruce Street gas station and convenience store early Sunday morning.

Police said a woman pulled into the Fuel plus gas station and convenience store. As she tried to pull in, a black male blocked the entrance with his dark grey Hyundai Elantra.
When she honked her horn, the driver waived his arms at her. She drove into the lot and entered the store.

As she left, the man was waiting outside and displayed a black handgun, pointing it at her. When she said she was calling police, the man drove away toward Spruce Street.

Surveillance video identified the suspect as 29-year old Tyler Witter of Middletown. He had a valid pistol permit but no firearms were registered to him. Police said the video showed the  suspect pointing the weapon outside the convenience store.

Police were unable to find Witter and an arrest warrant was issued.  On Monday a Yale Police officer located Witter's vehicle after a traffic  stop. Besides an arrest warrant for the Manchester incident, he faces one in Middletown.

Witter now faces the following charges: Threatening, Breach of Peace, Reckless Endangerment and Intimidation Based on Bias/Bigotry.
He's scheduled to appear in court December 13th.
