Vernon, Conn./WTIC Radio - An investigation is underway in Vernon after a man riding a moped in town Wednesday evening was struck and killed by a motor vehicle.
Police responded to the area of Hartford Turnpike and Dobson Road around 7:45 p.m.
They found the victim lying in the street on Hartford Turnpike.
He was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the motor vehicle, an adult female, remained on scene and police say she's cooperating with their investigation.
