Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Rocky Hill Fire Department responds to the call of a man who needed removed from a challenging location.

A man, who was suffering a non-life threatening injury to the leg, was found on the top of the side entry roof to a single-family residence around 1:58 p.m. Friday.

An aerial ladder was used as a crane to access and then lower the injured man.

He had been placed in a Stokes basket for stabilization.

Multiple fire trucks and fire police vehicles collaborated for the rescue.

Fire officials call it an "intense" operation, but say it was safely completed.
