Officers say just before 10:00 last night, they responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the area of 15 Nelson Street.
Upon arrival, they found a lone male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was transported to an area hosptial with non life-threatening injuries, according to detectives.
The victim is currently in stable condition.
Hartford Police Major Crimes is leading that investigation.
