A Meriden police officer is in trouble after getting caught on video
punching a motorist in the face.
Corporal Allen Ganter was off duty at the time of the altercation in
Rocky Hill last December.
The incident was rrecorded by Thomas Brocuglio's dash cam. While Brocuglio
was waiting to make a right turn, he can be heard complaining as Ganter sits in front of him in his Toyota Tacoma for an extended period.
The video shows that after Ganter honked, Ganter got out, waved his badge, then punched Brocuglio before threatening to arrest him. Brocuglio responded that Ganter will be arrested for the assault.
Ganter, as it turns out, was arrested, and has now been placed on administrative duty.
