New Haven, Conn./WTIC - A new schedule for the Metro North New Haven rail line.
The state Department of Transportation says effective today, there'll be an increase in weekday train service to approximately 91-percent of pre-pandemic levels.
Thirty-four trains are being added to the New Haven line.
The new schedule will also include restoration of pre pandemic zoned express trains.
In addition, the New Canaan line will see an addition of 40 weekeday trains.
The times will be adjusted to mirror pre-pandemic service and reduce times between the New Canaan line and Grand Central Terminal.
