
Bridgeport, Conn./WTIC Radio - State police have released more information about a crash that left a trooper injured this week.
The incident occurred around 8:30 Monday morning on the northbound side of Interstate 95 near exit 30 in Bridgeport.
The trooper's vehicle and a Jeep Grand Cherokee were parked in the right shoulder at the time.
State police say a Honda Accord then struck the trooper and the rear of the Jeep, sending the officer tumbling down an embankment.
The trooper and the Honda operator were treated for non life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Honda was cited for not having proper insurance, failure to move over, and failure to maintain a proper lane.
