New age-enhanced photo shared in Bridgeport cold case

Bridgeport Police share an age-enhanced photo in connection with a cold case from 2001.

Bianca Lebron was nine years-old when she disappeared on her way to the defunct Elias Howe School in Bridgeport on November 7, 2001.

A new age-enhanced photo made with help from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children shows what Lebron may look like at age 34.

Bianca may have gotten into a dark colored vehicle with tinted windows, driven by an adult male.

Detective Laura Acevedo is the current lead investigator in the case. She says police have a strong lead in the case as well as persons of interest but didn't elaborate further. The investigation in recent years has brought police to Puerto Rico for DNA testing on a woman that ultimately gave no positive match to Lebron.

If anyone has information about the case, please contact (203) 576-TIPS.

Det. Acevedo also shared her direct cell phone number, (475) 422-3712, as a way people could get tips to her, which she says can remain confidential.
