New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - New Haven police have released the name of the woman whose remains were found earlier this month.
Detectives say the remains are those of Denise Leary, 59, of New Haven.
Leary's remains were in what investigators say was "an advanced state of decay" when they were discovered March 20 in the 100 block of Rock Creek Road.
Residents reported the find while clearing brush in the rear of a house on the block, according to police.
At the time of her disappearance, police reported that Leary had suffered from paranoid schizophrenia.
She was last seen at her Rock Creek Road residence, police said.
No official cause of death has been given.
