HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Two Connecticut agencies teamed up in installing new lighting in tunnel at the Hop River State Park trail.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and Department of Transportation installed a new lighting system that will run in the tunnel that goes under a portion of I-384 in Bolton.
The new lighting system is designed to operate in coordination with daylight and park hours, enhancing visitor safety.
The tunnel is curved and is straddled by natural rock outcrops and watercourses.
