North Canaan, Conn./WTIC Radio - State police have arrested a man after he was apparently captured on video surveillance sliding what appeared to be fecal matter under a door of the resident trooper's office in North Canaan Town Hall.
The incident occurred on July 27.
Due to the odor and health reasons, the town hall building was evacuated.
Investigators reviewed the video and other evidence and issued a warrant for the arrest of Christopher Jordano, 40, of North Canaan.
Troopers arrested Jordano Wednesday at his home.
According to police, Jordano is known to them to have been non-compliant with other town ordinances in the past.
An environmental clean up crew was brought in at a cost of $1,500, police said.
Jordano faces a number of charges, including breach of peace, criminal mischief, and reckless endangerment.
Bond was set at $50,000 and he was arraigned last Thursday.
