Norwalk Police Department

NORWALK, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Norwalk Police arrest a Bridgeport man in connection with a bank robbery.

Norwalk Police allege Eliezer Negron, of Bridgeport, held a note to a teller at the Fairfield County Bank, on September 21, demanding cash and stating he was armed.

Negron did not display a firearm but manipulated his backpack as if he were armed, according to police.

The male took the money from tellers and then fled in a white Hyundai with no license plates.

Investigators used "various techniques" to identify Negron as the suspect.

Negron has been charged with first-degree robbery.

Detectives met with Negron at the State of Connecticut Probation Department in Bridgeport, CT on Monday, where he was arrested without incident and transported to Norwalk Police Headquarters. Negron is currently being held on a $750,000 court set bond.
