GROTON, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Groton Police identify the woman killed in a Wednesday afternoon crash.
Police say Vanessa Pettengill, 45, of Norwich, was the only person in a Subaru Legacy Outback driving eastbound on Fort Hill Road around 1:22 p.m.
She lost control and crashed in the area of Depot and South Roads.
Pettengill was unconscious and seriously injured when she was taken to L&M Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead.
