LISBON,CONN (WTIC Radio)-State Police arrested a Norwich woman after she allegedly made verbal threats to kill investigating troopers and their families.

State Police initially responded to a two-car accident just before six PM on Sunday on River Road in Lison. One of the involved operators fled into the woods. With the help of K9 Zedo the other operator was apprehended.

She was identified as Lauren Donohue, 43, of Norwich. That's when she threatened troopers and their families. Troopers said Donohue appeared unsteady on her feet  and that the odor of alcohol eminated from her, indicating possible impairment.

Donohue was transported to Troop E where she remained uncooperative. Troopers were unable to administer the Standardized Field Sobriety or other drug/alcohol tests.
She now faces charges including operating a motor vehicle under the influence, evading responsibility and threatening in the second degree.

Donohue appears in Norwich Superior Court Tuesday.
