Norwich, Conn./WTIC Radio - The lingering drought and lack of rain are forcing Norwich Public Utilities to take action.
NPU is issuing a "water supply warning" and is asking its customers to curb their water use by 10%.
Officials say NPU's two reservoirs are at 72.4% of capacity.
They say those levels will likely dip below 70% by the end of the week.
Presently, NPU says it has roughly 228 days of water supply in its reservoirs.
NPU says residents can do their part to conserve by taking shorter showers, running dishwashers and washing machines with full loads, limiting chores like car washing and law watering, and refraining from filling swimming pools.
