WATERBURY, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - The Waterbury Water Department is currently responding to another water main break in the city.
The 8-inch water main broke on Oakville Avenue, from approximately 210 Oakville Avenue to Whitewood Road.
An estimated 25 properties are impacted, including multiple condominium complexes located within this section of Oakville Avenue.
Water Department crews are on site and actively working to isolate and repair the break.
Residents and businesses in the affected area should expect to be without water service for approximately four to six hours Friday while repairs are completed.
Once service is restored, residents may experience temporary discoloration or air in their water lines.
This condition should clear by running cold water for several minutes.
Additional guidance will be provided if a boil water advisory becomes necessary.
