Southbury, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-State Police are investigating a robbery and assault in Southbury that occurred just after 12:30 Tuesday afternoon.
A female called 911 saying she had been approached by two males who requested she contact authorities. Officers found one of the men suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen. The male was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
State Police learned the victims were working construction at a residence on Bucks Hill Road. They said two males, one with a firearm, the other with a knife, entered the residence where they worked. The victims said they were restrained, assaulted and robbed by the two men.
Detectives determined the suspects are known to the victims. State police say this is a targeted and isolated incident.
