WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Wethersfield Police are investigating a the death of a pedestrian struck by a car.
A woman was struck by a car in the area of Nott Street and Ridge Road. Numerous police and ambulance personnel responded to the area around 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, where she was lying unconscious in the road.
She was transported to Hartford Hospital where she later died.
A preliminary investigation by officers at the scene showed that the female was crossing the road at the intersection of Nott Street and Ridge Road when the car struck her.
The operator of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
