WATERBURY, CONN (WTIC Radio)-A Waterbury man has been arrested for the murder of a city resident Thursday night on Robbins Street, police said.
Police responded just before 7:30 that night on a complaint of a gunshot victim. They discovered Edward Bosompra, 35, in a common area of a multi-family home. Bosompra was pronounced deceased shortly after police arrived.
Police believe Bosompra was involved in an altercation with another male. The altercation escalated and Bosompra was shot in the torso area.
Waterbury police took Derrick Johnson, 55, into custody on Friday. He faces murder and weapons charges and will be arraigned on Monday.
