Waterbury, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-A Waterbury man faces a felony charge for a fatal hit and run last Thursday, Waterbury Police said.
Police responded to East Main Street just after ten PM, finding a man lying in the roadway, his bicycle nearby.
The man was identified as Daryl Hammond, 59, of Waterbury. Police determined while riding his bicycle, he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Hammond died from his injuries two days later at Saint Mary's Hospital.
Police determined, J Quan Ballard, 22, of Waterbury was operating the motor vehicle.
He's been charged with Evading Responsibility.
