According to state police it was just before 7:00 this morning that troopers were advised by a family member a student was in emotional crisis and had made threats toward the school.
They were advised the student was aboard a school bus bound for the high school when it was intercepted with assistance from Manchester police.
Officers say the student was detained and later transported to the hospital for observation.
They say there were no firearms but a knife was recovered and there's no threat to the public.
Police say they'll maintain that presence at the high school throughout the day.
