HAMDEN, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Immigration advocates held a rally outside the Hamden Police Department on Tuesday evening.
They say police could have done more to prevent an ICE raid on a car wash last week.
Eight people were detained, with at least two who have reportedly been released.
Hamden Police say they got a call from Homeland Security before the raid but weren't given an exact address and they were told their assistance was not needed.
The advocates say that information should have been shared with the community.
Hamden Police, in a statement Tuesday night, say they cooperated with the Connecticut Trust Act in neither being present nor being involved in the raid.
