The ceiling at the Congregational Chuch of Putnam collapsed over the weekend.
The church made the announcement that it happened sometime Friday night.
No one was present in the building at the time it happened. There are no reports of anyone injured.
Worship for Sunday was planned to be held at the Fort Hill Farms in Thompson.
There's no word on what caused the collapse.
