New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - Flights at Tweed New Haven Airport were delayed Thursday following a security incident.
The airport said in a statement that out of an abundance of caution, the terminal was temporarily closed for a full security sweep.
Officials say around 11:00 a.m., someone made a remark about a bomb being on board an Avelo flight to Charlotte-Concord.
All passengers were rescreened by the TSA.
The investigation confirmed there was no bomb, airport officials said, and the person accused of making the remark was arrested by New Haven police and charged with breach of peace.
Passengers were advised to check with their airline for flight information.
