Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - During its meeting today, the Connecticut State Elections Enforcement Commission voted unanimously to investigate allegations of absentee ballot fraud in last week's Bridgeport Democratic mayoral primary.

The commission voted 5-0 on three motions regarding the accusations.

That includes video surveillance that turned up last week on social media.

It allegedly shows someone repeatedly stuffing a ballot box at the Bridgeport City Hall Annex.

The commission has also issued a subpoena to the city of Bridgeport for documents pertaining to the primary election.

Challenger John Gomes accused incumbent Joe Ganim of stealing the election, saying he was ahead last Tuesday in the vote at the polls but that the absentee ballots eventually put Ganim over the top.
