FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Connecticut State Police are investigating a crash that closed I-95 in Fairfield during the morning commute Friday.
The accident happened on the southbound side of the highway between exits 23 and 22. The highway was closed for about two hours.
Nearly three miles of congestion were felt into Bridgeport. A little further north, the adjacent Merritt Parkway experienced five miles of congestion during the closure while drivers tried to get around the crash.
Serious injuries were reported.
