CDC: Six Connecticut counties in High Covid transmission category

Hartford, Conn./WTIC Radio - The CDC has listed six of Connecticut's eight counties in the High/Orange category for Covid-19 transmission.

They are Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, Tolland and Windham counties.

The state Department of Public Health is recommending that residents consider wearing a mask in public indoor spaces.

All eight counties are either in the High or Medium categories, DPH said.

Connecticut's reported test positivity is 17.3-percent and hospitalizations are up by 47 in the last week.
