HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The second snow storm in a week left a fair amount of snow just before the workweek.
In some cases, accumulations on Sunday nearly doubled forecast expectations. The greater Hartford area saw around 8 inches, while areas east, near Rhode Island, accumulated approximately a foot of snow. The state's northwest corner, which usually sees the most snowfall in storms, received proportionately less than areas further east, around 2-4 inches.
The storm entered the state around 9 a.m. and was gone by 7 p.m., leaving behind light and fluffy snow.
Another storm system is expected to move into the state on Tuesday. There's another chance for snow near the end of the week.
