Vernon -- Tolland county's most populous town -- has held a special election
for a seat on the town council.
With the unofficial results Tuesdsay night, Democrat Bill Dauphin was declared the winner over Republican bill Campbell.
The special election was held after the race ended three weeks ago ended in a tie.
The unofficial results will mean that there will be a tie of six Democrats and six Republicans on the Vernon Town Council.
