Farmington, Conn./WTIC Radio - A Springfield, Massachusetts woman is dead following a late Tuesday night crash on Interstate 84 in Farmington.
Just before 10:30 p.m., troopers were dispatched to I-84 westbound in the area of exit 39A.
According to investigators Tiarra Thomas, 33, somehow lost control of her vehicle and went through a metal beam guardrail.
Police say the vehicle wound up in the grassy median.
Thomas was transported to Hartford Hosptial where she was later pronounced dead.
Police are still trying to determine how Thomas lost control of the vehicle, a 2015 Ford Edge.
Anyone who witnessed the crash of who has information is asked to contact the Troop H barracks of the Connecticut State Police.
