STAMFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio) - Stamford Police believe speeding may be a factor in the dirt bike crash that led to the death of a city man.
Police say Oscar Chinchilla-Najarro, 23, of Stamford, was riding the 2001 Kawasaki dirt bike in Scalzi Park on Bridge Street around 11:08 p.m. Friday night.
While riding the bike, police say Chinchilla-Najarro lost control of the bike and went over a curb and slammed into a guardrail on the east side of the park.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Although the investigation isn't complete, Stamford Police believe speed may have played a role in the crash.
