Bristol, Conn./WTIC Radio - Bristol police say one of their cruisers was stolen during a carjacking investigation this afternoon.
Around 12:18 p.m., officers say during the investigation, the cruiser was stolen and a pursuit ensued.
The person driving the stolen cruiser wound up crashing the vehicle into Palma's Restaurant at 100 Stafford Avenue in Bristol.
Investigators say a suspect is in custody and there is no threat to the public.
Police are advising motorists who normally use the area of Stafford Avenue and Brook Street to seek alternate routes.
