HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)_ The SEIU 1199 New England Union says the strike against group home company Sunrise is expected to continue Thursday.
On Thursday, October 14, District 1199 New England workers will be starting strike picket lines at four locations (Hartford, Columbia, New London, Danielson) at 7:00 a.m.
Then, the workers will consolidate all picket lines in Hartford at 10:00 AM.
The union anticipates negotiations with Sunrise will resume in the afternoon.
The strike began over a dispute about the over $184-million dollars in additional funding the State approved for group home facility operators to give raises and improve benefits.
