Waterbury, Conn. (WTIC Radio)-A convicted felon faces charges for possessing a stolen firearm, containing one live round and five live rounds and drug charges following a compliance check, Waterbury Police said.
Police patrolled Gilyard Drive, when they checked the vehicle of Andre Kellam,24, of Waterbury. They found a loaded 45 caliber firearm. Police said the firearm was stolen out of Waterbury in 2016.
Kellam is a convicted felon regarding charges, including 2016 Burglary in the First Degree with a Deadly Weapon and First-Degree Robbery.
Police said they also found various amounts of fentanyl and cocaine in the vehicle.
Kellam now faces various weapons charges and Possession of Narcotics with intent to sell.
