Windsor, Conn./WTIC Radio - Windsor police are investigating after they say a suspect stole a vehicle with a baby inside this morning, robbed a bank, and then died when the person crashed the vehicle.
This all happened a little after 9:00 a.m.
Officers received a 911 call on a stolen car from St. Gabriel School on Bloomfield Avenue containing a 17-month-old child in the backseat.
A short time later, police were called to a report of a robbery at Windsor Federal Savings on Broad Street.
A third 911 call then came in on a single-vehicle crash with the driver having struck a tree.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the child appeared responsive and conscious but was taken to Connecticut Children's in Hartford to get checked out.
