
New Haven, Conn./WTIC Radio - Police in New Haven are investigating a sexual assault on a city trail Saturday morning.
Officers say the incident occurred between 7:30 and 8:15 a.m. on a trail just south of the Fort Hale Dog Park on Townsend Avenue.
The victim descibed the suspect as an Hispanic male, 5'6" to 5'7" with a mediuim build.
He was wearing a blue patterned polo shirt, gray work pants and brown dress shoes.
He was wielding a box cutter and spoke in broken English, police said.
The suspect was last seen walking north on the trail toward the park.
